Spectrum is an industry leading supplier of architectural metalwork & engineering products and services to the construction sector. We supply a range of proprietary products including balustrading, louvres, overhead glazing, handrails etc. Our business is strongly focused on large scale projects in Auckland, Waikato and Tauranga.
We have an exciting opportunity in our Hamilton based team for an experienced and commercially minded Division Manager to establish and lead a new aluminium windows and doors division based in the Waikato, servicing the Waikato and Bay of Plenty.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building the business from the ground up, including operations, sales support, customer relationships, systems, team development, and overall business performance.
The successful applicant will play a key role in developing the division into a high-performing and profitable operation.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish and lead the day-to-day operations of the Windows & Doors Division
• Develop and implement operational systems and processes
• Build strong relationships with builders, architects, and customers
• Oversee estimation and pricing
• Support business development and sales growth
• Oversee production, quality, delivery performance, and customer service
• Oversee Project Management & Install of the associated products
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
• Ensure products & installs comply with the building code and relevant industry standards
• Recruit, lead, and develop team members as the division grows
• Manage budgets, performance, and profitability targets
• Work closely with senior leadership on strategic direction and growth opportunities
Skills and Experience
• Proven leadership experience in sales, manufacturing or operations within the aluminium window & door industry
• Strong operational and organisational capability
• Sound commercial judgement and customer relationship skills
• Technical understanding of aluminium windows and doors
• Ability to lead from the front in a growing business environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Existing industry relationships and market knowledge advantageous
